Apparentally there is no plot be because it's a comedy but failed miserably as a comedy.
Azumanga Daioh at its best it is mildly amusing.
eps 1-5 are so boring it's sleep-inducing, gets better towards 15 but still some boring eps along that way.
This anime relies on "lame" childish jokes (very simple, possibly stupid, easy jokes that aren't funny to me anyways) and cuteness. Cuteness just doesn't work all that long even if it is Chiyo-chan.
Most of the jokes were lame in my opinion. sometimes it was executed so slowly I knew what it was and even if I didn't predict it it's still not funny. It's paced very slowly, there are lots of silent moments with the characters just standing there and staring after some "joke" and whatnot.

This anime is way more childish probably more and definitely more idiotic as some anime geared toward kids yet so many people are standing by this as one of the best and their favorites.
The stupidity in this beats out the fan-service by a long-shot.
Some people describe this anime as wacky or crazy but I just found it stupidity at its worst.
the story/plot/everything about this anime was stupid, unfunny, predictable, boring, cliche, ripped-off, typical,
reminds me of so many animes that are a million times better that need to be fansubbed asap.
So all in all no romance, no comedy, no originiality, no progression, bad characters so there's no point.
I really wish I could say that I had no idea why other people like this anime.

Howtwosave's Akazukin Cha Cha Tv Review

This anime is definitely worth watching and re-watching. Practically all the eps have re-watch VALUE and there is 74 eps so obviously there's lots of stuff to re-watch.
It is such a good feel-good anime and it will make you laugh hysterically at times.
I know those new ones that are supposed to be comedy (from all the rabid fans) but then I find out they really aren't, only a few laughs out of one ep but this anime just keeps going and going with the jokes. It actually makes me laugh hysterically.
I'm especially fond of it since I saw it when I was a kid and then re-watching and enjoying and laughgin hysterically still.
Recommended if you want to watch something that'll cheer you up, have you laughing hysterically, and if you want something cute.
